Hiya!
I’m Julie and I’m a Graphics/Art Dept Asst working in HETV, Film, with experience as a petty cash buyer, and a Fine Art background.
My art department roles involving producing scripted and non-scripted posters, paperwork, cover-ups, key action props, amongst other material. Whilst researching and assisting with the physical making side of graphics props and top dressing, supporting the lead graphic designer. I thoroughly enjoy being creative through graphic design.
I have also supported the set decoration department as a petty cash buyer, liaised with standby teams, assisted with set dressing and lent a hand to scenic painters.
My style is a natural combination of bold, sometimes geometric, slightly cartoonish and even bright design, due to my background in Fine Art, 2D animation and Theatre. I enjoy the quirky, eccentric and imperfections in life! It allows for uniqueness and character.
Bringing creative ideas, as well as narratives based upon true events to life from pre-production to a live set has fuelled my passion for visual storytelling. Excited to continue learning, I take in every task, bringing a positive, hard-working, relentless and upbeat attitude to everything I do, both independently and within a team.
I live in the North East and work wherever a project takes me, if not remaining in the north. I’m always looking for future ventures and career opportunities. If you would like to work together, please do get in touch!
